Celebrate eco-friendly and safe Diwali! |
Ways to Celebrate Safe and Eco-friendly Diwali for Parents
1. Invite neighbors/ friends/relatives at one common place for Diwali celebrations while maintaining social distancing norms. That way you can multiply the celebrations and reduce pollution as well as waste of essential resources.
2. Together friends/neighbors can exchange greetings, and sweets, and enjoy a potluck meal. Moreover, such an event provides a positive atmosphere for families and kids to have a good time instead of celebrating in isolation.
4. Encourage kids to avoid firecrackers. If they insist then prefer eco-friendly, green, and certified crackers such as sparklers, chakris, etc., which produce noise without smoke.
5. Replace cracker's time with activities like eco-friendly decorations with kids. Make DIY candles, diyas, and colorful lanterns at home, decorate with flower garlands, and several items you may create with old stuff.
6. Besides, another wonderful idea is to create a competition for the best rangoli or decorative pieces or cook a dish within your society or within your family. This would inspire kids to create new things during festival time and have some fun learning too.

7. Kids love to showcase their creations. If your kid is an art lover, he may create art and craft pieces, showcase them to the world through social media, and even sell them online before the festival. Isn't this a fantastic idea?

8. Instead of using electrical lights, use earthen pots and candles as these are eco-friendly and save precious electricity. It would also, support local vendors and promote the cause of #vocalforlocal
9. Avoid using chemical-based colors for decoration purposes like rangoli. Always use flowers, leaves, and eco-friendly colors. Flaunt your kid's rangoli creation to your friends and family too.

20. If that is not enough, you want to gift more then you may choose cool sunglasses, accessories, toys, clothes, and so on for babies, toddlers, growing kids, men and women, and Shower Gifts as much as you want to and that too at great discounts!!
21. Interested in playing some games at home? Download printable games quickly and let the fun roll. Your kids would ask for more once they get started, right!!
